18th Jan 2009 : Updates to the Joiner Marriage Index will now be listed in the Forum.
7th Jan 2009 : The parishes of Hockwold and Wilton have been expanded and Salthouse has been added to Norfolk for a total of 510 new marriages.
26th Dec 2008 : Searching using the Metaphone algorithm has now been fully integrated throughout the site.
24th Dec 2008 : After a major reprogramming of the search facility on the site, the ability to search using either the Metaphone or the Soundex algorithm has been added. A big improvement to searching with algorithms is the showing of the surnames found using the algorithm before payment is required. This will hopefully reduce any frustration in having to pay for surnames that may not be relavent. Currently only available on searches within a county, this will follow shortly for individual parish searches. Please report further any bugs or problems.
18th Nov 2008 : 173 marriages added to Braughing in Hertfordshire, and 756 marriages added to Kirby Wiske in the North Riding of Yorkshire.
25th Oct 2008 : Norfolk has now been added to the Joiner Marriage Index with 84005 marriages in 280 parishes.
13th Oct 2008 : A new option under the Search tab allows you to check the overall number of marriages for a given surname within the Joiner Marriage Index. The number of marriages for a county and the parishes within that county is displayed.
13th Oct 2008 : The North Riding of Yorkshire, The West Riding of Yorkshire and Westmorland have been added to the available counties for individual parish searches. All done!
12th Oct 2008 : The East Riding of Yorkshire has been added to the available counties for individual parish searches.
7th Oct 2008 : Nottinghamshire has been added to the available counties for individual parish searches.
28th Sep 2008 : Durham, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northumberland have been added to the counties available to search for names within individual parishes, more to follow.
27th Sep 2008 : Just launched after many requests : New search feature allowing searches within the individual parishes of a county. Currently limited to Cumberland and Derbyshire, but the other counties will follow as quickly as I can write the code. Please check back for updates to this.
4th Sep 2008 : The parish of Sculcoates has been added to the East Riding of Yorkshire with 492 marriages.
4th Sep 2008 : 820 marriages added to the parish of Easingwold in the North Riding of Yorkshire.
26th Aug 2008 : 199 marriages added to the parish of Saxton-in-Elmet in the West Riding of Yorkshire.
18th Aug 2008 : 15 new parishes have been added to Nottinghamshire with a total of 5996 marriages.
17th Aug 2008 : The parish of Irby (Humber) has been added to Lincolnshire with 238 marriages.
17th Aug 2008 : The parish of Great Orton has been added to Cumberland with 400 marriages.
2nd Aug 2008 : 4394 further marriages added to the East Riding of Yorkshire with a total of 141791 marriages.
2nd Aug 2008 : The parish of Catton has been added to the East Riding of Yorkshire with 996 marriages.
2nd Aug 2008 : The parish of Royston has been added to the West Riding of Yorkshire with 2505 marriages.

31st Mar 2008 : 4 new parishes have been added to Derbyshire with a total of 1319 marriages.
9th Mar 2008 : 6434 marriages added to Northumberland as an expansion to 2 parishes.
31st Jan 2008 : 13832 marriages added to Northumberland taken from Bishop's transcripts. Check the coverage page for details.
27th Oct 2007 : 13 new parishes have been added to the West Riding of Yorkshire with a total of 9573 new marriages.
25th Oct 2007 : 29 new parishes have been added to Lincolnshire with a total of 19281 new marriages.
30th Sep 2007 : The parish of Flaunden has been added to Hertfordshire with 3116 marriages.
13th May 2007 : The parish of Sandridge has been added to Hertfordshire with 3571 marriages.
18th Mar 2007 : The parish of Newton Solney has been added to Derbyshire with 201 marriages.
9th Feb 2007 : 20178 marriages added to Northumberland taking the total in Northumberland to 82918. With the addition of Herts earlier in the week the index now stands at 1124072 marriages.
6th Feb 2007 : The Joiner Marriage Index branches out from the North of England into my home county, Hertfordshire. Other counties will follow.
13th Jan 2007 : With the addition of 1306 marriages to the parish of Ledsham in the West Riding of Yorkshire the Joiner Marriage Index has passed the 1,000,000 mark!
11th Jan 2007 : Just over 21000 marriages in 18 new parishes added to West Riding of Yorkshire. Total marriages just short of 1,000,000!
11th Jan 2007 : Just over 12000 marriages in 12 new parishes added to Westmorland. Please check coverage pages to see new parishes available.
