Search
Searches are fully automated, but please contact me if your needs are beyond the scope of the search parameters. Payment is required through PayPal, offering ease and security to all customers with or without a PayPal account.
You may search purely for a Surname which looks for all instances of that name in both the male and female side. Alternatively you may search for a Full Name, which is any part of a name, be it the first name and/or surname in the male and/or female side.
In the latter type of search the wildcard character, %, is added to the forename which allows a search based purely on an initial. You may also enter a % anywhere where part of a name is ambiguous. An option to search using the Soundex algorithm is offered on surnames to find variations of spelling. This should be used with caution as it can produce some odd results.
Entering a year and range is not necessary but may help reduce the number of records and thus the cost of the search.
Following the basic search you are informed of the number of records available. To progress requires payment by following the 'Pay Now' button to PayPal. Prices start at £2.50 per search up to maximum of £21.50 dependent on the number of records. For searches resulting in more than 200 records, please contact me for a more personal experience.
Once payment is complete the results are displayed on screen and emailed to your PayPal email address. Included in the email are log in details to the Member section of this site to allow the review of the search for a minimum of 28 days. Currently this is the only function of the Member section and 'memberships' beyond this are not offered.
